11th China (International) Eco-City and Vertical Greening Conference, ZhengZhou

Introduction

To all members and related organisations,

Following on from the 19^th National Congress in October 2017, the China Communist Party released a report that supported the construction of ecological cities as a progressive measure to prevent and control pollution. These measures have been implemented from the requirements set by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Ministry of Environmental Protection and the experience gained from past green roofing conferences.

The 11^thChina (International) Eco-City and Vertical Greening Conference is scheduled to be held between May 21th -24th. It has been jointly organised by:

Significantly, this is the first time that the conference will have been held in the North or Central part of China. ZhengZhou’s advantageous location, labour opportunities and forward local policies offer a strong conducive environment to promoting the development of the green industry.

The conference aims to:

Exchange case-studies and experiences on the construction of eco-city construction from around the world.

Discuss the role of vertical greening in the aspects of environmental pollution prevention.

Provide the attendants with tangible solutions on the construction of sponge city, the remediation of city ecology and the industrialization development of vertical greening.

5.Fees and Registration Methods

I) Registration fee for participants:

- RMB 1680 yuan/person for membership

-RMB 2000 yuan/person for non-members (including conference, materials, venues, experts, etc., self-catering)

All provinces and cities, units and delegations (more than 10 people) enjoy preferential treatment.

Companies who are not able to enter due to their financial means may apply for a registration fee reduction, if they are able to provide the correct proof
