Quan Yongshen

Mr. Quan Yongshen graduated from Xi’an Highway Scientific Academy in 1964, majoring in Highway & Tunnel Engineering. He continued his further education in Highway & Transport Institute in UK. He used to serve in Bureau for Municipal Design of Beijing and Beijing Municipal Institute of City Planning & Design (BICP). He is now Director of Beijing Transportation Research Center, Standing Director of Urban Planning Society of Beijing (UPSB), and Consultant of Beijing Municipal Government. His research mainly focuses on Traffic Planning, Traffic Policies and Traffic Development Strategy.

Awarded with Special Government Allowance, Mr. Quan was granted with the title of “National Expert of Outstanding Contributions” in 1995. He was selected as National Advanced Scientific Worker in 2001. Mr. Quan is engaged as Expert of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD), Ministry of Public Security of the PRC, and Transportation Dept. of the World Bank. As a Ph.D. Supervisor, he is also the traffic consultant of many cities including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, etc.
