Mr. Shao Yisheng, who graduated from Peking University with his bachelor’s degree of Science and doctor’s degree, is now serving as Vice President of CAUPD, Director of City Water Resources Research Center and Director of Urban Water Supply Monitoring Center, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China (MOHURD). He is also a member of Geological Environment Committee, Geological Society of China and Architectural Society of China. Awarded with Special Government Allowance, he was conferred as “National Expert of Outstanding Contributions” by Personnel Dept. of the People’s Republic of China.

Focusing on Water Resources and Water Environment, Mr. Song has participated in many projects, including “China Urban Water Supply Monitoring System” program & “China Urban Water Management of 21st Century” program supported by United Nations Development Program (UNDP), “Price Research of Urban Supply Water” supported by Asian Development Bank (ADB), “Freshwater Resources and Sustainable Development” program of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), “Strategic Research of China Water Resources Sustainable Development” program of Chinese Academy of Engineering, etc. He has published more than 50 theses and his famous work <Man and Water>.
