Wang Rusong

Mr. Wang Rusong obtained his doctor’s degree from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1985. He is now serving as Researcher & Ph.D. Supervisor of Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Vice President of Scientific Committee on Problems of Environment (SCOPE), International Council of Scientific Unions; and Vice President of China National Committee. He is also an executive member of International Ecological Society, President of Chinese Ecological Society, Director of Chinese Sustainable Development Research Institute, and Standing Director of Chinese Society for Urban Studies & Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. As a member of Academic Degree Commission of the State Council of China, Mr. Wang is also named Professor of Fudan University, Sun Yat-sen University, East China Normal University, etc. His personal titles also include Member of Dept. of Management Sciences, National Natural Science Foundation of China; Scientific Consultant of International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA); and Member of Beijing Municipal Committee of the 9th, 10th Political Consultative Conference. As the winner of ‘’Outstanding Contribution to International Human Ecology Award” and fifteen times of “National & Provincial Scientific Achievement Award”, Mr. Wang was awarded with the title of “Ph.D. of Outstanding Contribution” by National Education Commission and Special Government Allowance by State Council of the People’s Republic of China.

Since 1981, Mr. Wang has been working on the research of “Society- Economy- Nature” Composite Ecosystem theories and Industrial Ecological Engineering technology. As the host of multiple international cooperation projects and national key research projects, Mr. Wang has published more than 80 theses and 10 English /Chinese works in the recent 5 years.
