斯德哥尔摩Nya ?rstaf?ltet邻里区总体规划占地260英亩，其中有2260000平方英尺用于办公空间，4300000平方英尺用于居住。

INVITE MAX

New Årsta will invite a maximal variety of new user groups by providing a new lively city network based on cultural and special values of the area.

PRESERVE MAX

The goal is to build as little as possible on the site preserving a maximal amount of green space to create a large green amenity not only for the local area, but for all of Stockholm giving it the modern park it has been missing.

DENSIFY MAX

We aim to densify the surrounding areas. Rather than continuing the unsustainable landuse we want to show a new responsible approach and a new understanding of urban quality. This will provide a 1.000.000 m2 with a minimal impact to the site.

VISION

To illustrate a learning process for city development based on principals concerning the human scale, interaction and public space quality. Rather than providing a finalized image of the city, we aim to provide a structure that holds a quality for public life that, combined with our principals, will allow the area to grow into a number of great solutions. Through an open source process, our goal is to secure the quality of the output rather than fixating the final design.

This proposal reflects the 21st century need for innovative sustainable city environments – mix use neighbourhoods with living, small business, shops, schools and public facilities as well as culture and recreational activities for high quality living. Sustainability and social including developments are strengthen and made possible when a fine grain urban network, for pedestrian, bikes and public transport is provided, securing integration of neighbourhoods rather than segregation.

Årstafältets potential as a recreational attraction, not only for the locals or for Stockholm but for the greater region, is enormous. It is at the moment lacking invitation, visibility and accessibility for anyone but the locals, but by providing a strong invitation with the urban edge park Maximus, we hope to provide the missing links for unfolding Årstafältets potential.

The surrounding areas should be transformed slowly over time, implementing the new urban structure so that integration of parts of the existing buildings is possible as part of a new building mass with a great variation in form, material and function to allow for a continues city evolution.

Sustainability is more than providing high class environmental friendly buildings; it is a matter of creating intelligent design that secure an optimized microclimate, it is creating building shapes and design according to local conditions to minimize energy consumption, it is to create a neighbourhood that can provide for the needs of the people working a living there, without being forced to codependent and it is to create an area that encourage use alternative transportation.

Based on these principals we believe New Årsta can be a landmark, not just by providing icon buildings, but by providing a world class sustainable and livable city – creating a innovative environment for future!
