个人简介：原纽约市规划局局长，纽约市360年历史上第一位亚裔局级官员。提出“平衡发展（Balance Development）”规划理论，并在美国获奖无数，1993年纽约曼哈顿区为见证其公共服务的贡献、纽约侨民成功典范及个人专业成就，定每年12月7日为“饶及人日”；

为中国引进先进规划建筑理念，为中国政府培训地方官员，是中国官员、业界人士、主流媒体眼中“最了解中国国情的外国建筑规划专家”，至今已培训过近90，000名地方官员。中国建设部原副部长杨慎评价他为“满腔热忱、知识渊博、有独特见解的学者与专家”。

演讲摘要：城市作为人类活动的主要场所，从某种意义上讲，只有城市走上可持续发展之路，才会有全球的可持续发展。文章综述了城市可持续发展研究的主要内容，包括内涵、资源、环境、经济、社会和形态，以及可持续发展指标，提出了契合额尔古纳城市建设的可持续发展战略。

As the main places of human activities, in a sense, the city only take the road of sustainable development , then they can contribute to the global sustainable development. This article reviews the main content of urban sustainable development research, which includes the main content, resources, environment, economy, society and morphology, as well as the sustainable indicators that can benefit for the E’erguna urban construction and sustainable development strategies.
