To carry out the scientific outlook on development and the spirit of 18th CPC National

Congress, to integrate the concepts of ecological civilization of intensive, intelligent,

green and low-cardon with urbanization, the 2013 (the Eighth) Conference on Urban

Development and Planning, supported by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural

Development, P. R. China, will be held on July 16-17, 2013 in Zhuhai of Guangdong

Province. Chinese Society for Urban Studies, Department of Housing and Urban-Rural

Development of Guangdong Province, People’s Government of Zhuhai Municipality will

co-host the conference as its organizers, together with the support from other governments,

organizations and institutes at home and abroad, aiming to learn from other countries the

advanced experience, innovative technologies and managerial approaches to tackle

various challenges confronting urban development.
