October 1 – 4, 2007
The City of Toronto and Green Communities Canada are proud to co‑host the 8th annual Walk21 conference, Walk21 Toronto 2007.
This exciting conference will bring together hundreds of delegates from across Canada and around the world, including leaders from government, academia, the private sector, non-profit, community, and advocacy groups. The conference slogan - Putting Pedestrians First - reflects our desire to make this a conference that motivates people to build on examples of best practice from their home communities and around the globe, and turn plans into action.
Our conference program includes a dynamic line-up of speakers, guests, workshops, walkshops, and special activities. These events will put you in the centre of what's happening in the field of walking. Conference sessions are centrally located at The Design Exchange at 234 Bay Street and Metro Hall at 55 John Street in downtown Toronto. Both venues are close to public transit, the train station, restaurants, shopping, and an easy walk from our conference hotel.
You can find an introductory video and visitor information on the welcome page. If you have questions about Walk21 Toronto 2007 or would like to be added to the conference mailing list, please see contact information.
